GV Connect is a comprehensive Google Voice application available for iPhone and iPad devices. It provides a range of features, allowing users to text, call, and manage their Google Voice accounts using an intuitive interface that provides full control over account settings.

• Users can make calls using their Google Voice number, rather than their mobile number. They can enter numbers directly, select contacts from their device's contacts list, or call back any number from their call history. The application supports direct calls, callback (Click2Call), and offline calling. More information on these calling modes can be found on the application website.
• The application enables users to send and receive text messages (SMS) from their Google Voice number. It supports long SMS, group messages, picture messages (MMS - available as an In-App purchase), and non-English messages. In addition, it features in-line replies with an iMessage-like interface.
• GV Connect automatically checks for new messages and voicemails, even when running in the background.
• Users can listen to voicemails and recorded conversations directly on their device. They have the ability to pause, rewind, or fast forward within the message. Voicemails also display transcriptions when available.
• The application allows users to archive or unarchive messages, mark them as read or unread, star them, attach notes to conversations, block or unblock senders, and trash or delete conversations.
• Users can easily search through their message history by contact, message content, or note text. The search functionality also supports online searches for messages that have not yet been cached locally.
• Messages are stored on the device for offline access.
• GV Connect offers quick access to various Google Voice account settings, such as call forwarding, do-not-disturb (including automatic expiration at a specified time), and message notifications.
• Users can add, verify, and remove forwarding phone numbers.
• Quick Settings feature allows users to save and restore complete account settings, such as do-not-disturb or call forwarding, for easy switching between different profiles.
• GV Connect supports automatic selection of Quick Settings based on the user's current location (available as an In-App purchase).
• The application provides direct access to the device's contacts, eliminating the need to synchronize them with Google.
• Users can quickly access their favorite phone numbers for calls and SMS.
• GV Connect is a universal application that works optimally on iPhone (including iPhone X), iPod Touch, and iPad (including split-screen multitasking on devices running iOS 9 or later).
• An optional passcode lock feature is available for added security, with TouchID option supported on compatible devices.
• The application supports gesture navigation for easier cursor placement while typing. Users can swipe left or right with one or two fingers to move the caret position backward or forward by character or word. Swiping left or right with three fingers takes users to the beginning or end of the existing text.
• GV Connect supports TextExpander touch snippet expansion, including fill-in snippets.

Please note that an existing Google Voice account with a GV phone number is required to use this application. New Google Voice account signup is currently limited to US residents. Additionally, it's important to know that GV Connect is not a VoIP application and will not enable making or receiving calls on iPad or iPod Touch without a separate VoIP application.

GV Connect securely stores account passwords in the device's Keychain for faster login when launching the application. All communication is done exclusively through secure connections (SSL) to Google's servers. No contact information, except for the contact's phone number required for calls or messages, is sent to Google or any other party. All operations in GV Connect are fully synchronized with the user's Google Voice account.
